Late night restaurants in Chiang Mai

Anyone up for the midnight fried chicken? If you happen to pass Kamphaeng Din Road at 2 A.M., you will be amazed by the line you see people waiting to be seated. The restaurants open from 11 P.M. until 5 in the morning for those customers who cannot go to sleep with empty stomach. Midnight Fried Chicken serves favorite local dishes such as fried meat, Sai Aua (Northern Thai Spicy Sausage), Nam Prik Num (Spicy Green Chili paste) and Nam Prik Pra too (Spicy Mackerel paste); all of them go along very well with hot sticky rice. For those who want to try the food here, be patient. You wouldn’t regret spending a few minutes waiting in line.

The most popular brand for instant noodle in Thailand is “Mama.”  So we often refer to instant noodle as Mama.  As you can see depict from the name of Mama Fah Thani, the restaurant is specialized in turning ordinary instant noodle to tasty and healthy meal. The restaurant add more nutrition to make your midnight meal more thoughtful. They have addition ingredients for you to choose from such as pork, squid, meal ball, egg, fresh vegetable. For those who are not up for the spicy challenge, we recommend you have Mama Moosub (instant noodle with mince pork.) If you are ready for the challenge, we ask you to try Mama Tomyum and add the shop's original spicy paste to increase the intensity level. Warning, make sure you don't put too much.

Sompetch Congee has been in Chiang Mai for more than decades.  It is popular among local people as well as tourists.  Even though the restaurant opens 24 hours but, surprisingly, it is most crowded during the night time.  We would like to recommend you to try pork congee as it is the restaurant’s favorite.  However, there are many dishes that you can try such as seafood congee, assorted dim sum, streamed pork or chicken with rice, streamed pork or chicken with egg noodles.  If you come starving to Sompetch Congee, fried chicken basil with rice is also recommended for those who can tolerate the Thai spicy taste.
