Good point: The Railway Station building is quite beautiful, which attracts a fair amount of visitors. There is also a library that is open to all customers free of charge.

Bad Point: If you want to take pictures with and of the train, it is advised that you check the train schedules beforehand. Regarding the library, the air inside is much too hot to spend a lot of time in it.

Summary: The railway station is one of the most visited attractions in Hua Hin, and because of its beauty and popularity, the station is considered as the symbol of the town. The Royal Pavilions in the area are also beautiful buildings to take photographs with.

Hua Hin Railway Station

The trains in Thailand take a fair amount of time to get anywhere, but if you feel like riding on one, the town of Hua Hin in Phrachuap Khiri Khan province is a close enough destination that doesn’t take more than a few hours to get to. Once off the train and onto the platform, you will arrive at the town’s symbol and popular attraction that is the railway station itself.

Hua Hin Railway Station is visited by many Thai and foreign tourists because of its architectural beauty. Not only is it considered as the town’s symbol, it is also considered as the most beautiful train station in Thailand! The station is well preserved which makes it a great location for taking photographs.

Other reasons for the station’s popularity are the Royal Pavilions, and the iconic ‘Hua Hin’ sign. Though the pavilions are not in use anymore, they are a beautiful example of Thai architecture. You will find one pavilion opposite the railway station and another further down from the station.

Also opposite the station is the Railway Train Library. The library holds over two thousand books. Entry and membership are free of charge. Being a member allows you to borrow up to three books for a period of one week. To become a member, bring your ID card and a 1x1 inch photo of yourself.

If you’re waiting for the train to arrive to take photos with it, you can sit and relax at the recently opened Hua Hin Coffee Station. The seats here are comfortable, and the coffee is pretty good.
