เค้าแนะนำต่อๆ กันมาว่า ร้านจิตส้มตำ ตรงข้ามโรงเรียนวิจิตรศึกษา ตำส้มตำได้อร่อยถึงใจ ที่สำคัญมีตำด๊องแด๊งให้กินด้วย "ตำด๊องแด๊ง" เป็นส้มตำชนิดหนึ่ง ที่ไม่ว่าใครมาถึงเชียงคานก็ต้องขอลองพิสูจน์กันดูซักหน่อย เพราะ "ด๊องแด๊ง" เป็นอาหารพื้นเมืองของจังหวัดเลย

Jit Som Tum shop is found across Vichitsuksa School. When asked what it was, the waitress replied that the dish is made with the same flour used to make rice vermicelli however the “Dong Daeng” noodles are much fatter and chewier.
