Flight of the Gibbon: Fun for all ages and adventurers

If you’re a thrill-seeker or an adrenaline-junkie, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this amazing adventure through the jungles of Thailand. Swing from tree to tree like a monkey (or Tarzan) and see nature like never before with Thailand’s Flight of the Gibbon.

Fight of the Gibbon was created by a group of nature lovers who spent their weekends in the mountains of Thailand. While taking pictures, they came across gibbon remains left by poachers. The cruelty and injustice to these animals motivated them to make a difference, and thus came up with the idea of offering visitors zip line tours to earn funds used to protect and preserve all flora and fauna. The tour originally began in Chiang Mai. Due to its popularity, Flight of the Gibbon has expanded to Bangkok and Pattaya.

The zip line tours are a unique system of tree houses, platforms, cables, and sky bridges that will enable you to view the jungles of Thailand from all layers of the canopy. Working with various partners, Flight of the Gibbon offers multi-day package tours that combine their zip line adventure with safaris, rock climbing, white-water rafting, mountain biking, and trekking. You don’t even have to worry about accommodation because their packages come with either a hotel stay or an authentic homestay with the local hill tribes.

While there are other zip line operators in Thailand, Flight of the Gibbon has the longest zip line course in the country; over 2 kilometers of zip lining. You’ll be suspended 100 meters above ground and go through at least 30 stations. If you’re worried about your safety or just scared of heights, don’t be. Flight of the Gibbon maintains the highest safety standards using only the best, state-of-the-art equipment from Europe coupled with Sky Rangers and Guides fully trained in zip line instruction, wilderness skills, and first-aid to help you whenever the need arises. This eco-adventure is fun for children and adults of all ages; some adventurers are as young as 5 years old and as old as 95!

Thanks to this eco-tour, Flight of the Gibbon has successfully been able to set-up numerous restoration and rehabilitation projects for rainforests and wildlife. A minimum of 10% of proceeds go to these projects and others that are similar. Visitors will learn more about the flora and fauna of Thailand’s jungles thanks to the highly knowledgeable and informative guides that will take you on this journey. Feel free to ask them any questions that you may have. ENJOY!

    • Strong point:
    • A lot of fun for everyone. Flight of the Gibbon is the first zip line operator in the country, and uses the best equipment only. They maintain the highest safety standards so don't worry. Zip lining is not the only fun activity they offer!
    • Weak point:
    • If you are driving, getting there will be a tough challenge because of the rough terrain and winding roads. Flight of the Gibbon offers a pick up service, so we recommend you travel with them for convenience.
    • Conclusion:
    • Swing from tree to tree like a monkey (or tarzan) and see nature like never before with Thailand’s leading zip line operator. It's totally safe and totally fun; worth every Baht spent.
